Thanks again for your help, it's appreciated. However, that being the sole reason for this error is very much unbelievable to me simply from the discoveries in this thread alone. The routine is fundamental to the page working correctly, it has been commented before on here. Long delay? and secondly, why does it not work off a remote machines browser when accessing the same page on the same server? The fact that it can load very very slowly without error on the servers local browser kind of tells me that the required libraries are loading completely, the question is why the stupidly Though my server needs a resolution that nobody has discovered yet. Anything from web.config editing to local IE patches resolves this one and it seems as Thanks for explaining Dragonman however I am finding it very hard to believe that there is simply one cause of this error due to the inconsistency with the resolutions. Missing something on the ScriptManager? Another discussion thread perhaps. why does there not seem to be a way to check whether all necessary scripts in the page have loaded? Surely there are many development scenarios will call for this (I'm currently experiencing one!). Seems unlikely that the issues relate to patches, etc. Having developed a number (+-8) custom AJAX-enabled controls using this framework I know that event sequence is vital (as in all ASP dev). To hazard a guess, there's probably only one reason (already mentioned) why this 'Sys is undefined' issue can happen: the existing code tries to call javascript objects and members before they have fully loaded in the page.

More info on this would be highly appreciated. Further on aurorasi's post, evenĪm still trying to figure out more details on ScriptResource.xsd. So I presume other controls should work fine, although I have not yet tried it out. As I read from other blogs, this seems to be the vulnerable control in Beta2.

I tested with a sample project using the Accordion control. After a reboot, Ajax controllers works fine Adding the permissions for anonymous users (as mentioned in this thread) does not resolve the bug (at least in my case)įinally, I got this bug resolved by installing from. So I think there's absolutely no issues on this front.Ģ.

An Ajax Project in Beta2 installation does infact add the following lines in the web.config file I used to get this error "sys" is undefined and I went through all the response in this thread.
#Remove dymo script web service mac professional#
I have installed asp.net 2.0 ajax extensions 1 Beta 2 on my 2000 professional machine with IE 6.0. I think i've figure out the simple fix for this. But I've already added the following to my web.config: I assume my problem is I don't have authorization for WebResource.axd or ScriptResource.axd. (IExecutionStep step, Boolean& completedSynchronously) +64 OnLeave(Object source, EventArgs eventArgs) +3146440 So I copied each axd URL into my browser (to request just the bit of javascript) and I get the following error: I assume this is the client-side script I'm not getting. When I pull up my pages in the browser and View Source, I see the following references to WebResource.axd and ScriptResource.axd And still get 'WebForm_PostBackOptions' is undefined on my login page. I'm still fumbling around, trying to get my site working after upgrading to Beta 2 from Atlas. Ensure your script manager tag has a scripts section as follows: If you are using Beta1 release of Atlas Framework Sys is now moved to the Preview name space. Any future page refreshes bring up the error again. I have tried navigating to the AXD files referenced by the source - and this works fine.Īlso, if I clear the temporary internet files and refresh, I don't get it on the next round trip. I realise this is unsupported, does this also mean incompatible in this case? Getting on a bit I know but we have no choice. Is it a configuration / compatibility issue? Is is simply a bug that needs ironing out before release? I know I've seen posts similar to this before and have tried a few things to no avail. Can anyone tell me why I get the 'Sys' is undefined Javascript error whenever I place a ScriptManager object o to my page please?
